Quality, Care, and Compassion.
These non-medical homemade masks are made with high quality fabrics and can be washed and reused over and over again. Each mask is made with care of the community in mind. Wearing a mask provides an additional measure of protection to those around you, after frequent hand washing and physical distancing. I believe in compassion. In addition to my full priced catalogue, I also have a Pay What You Can Program that increases mask accessibility to those in need.
Supporting Local Artisans
The cloth masks you see here are produced by hand in small batches by myself and a couple of sewers in Greater Victoria, BC. I believe in paying my fellow makers fairly so that we can continue making masks for the community.
The prices you see reflects the resources, time, skills, and care of us sewers, while also being mindful of the community's need for masks.
CDC on Homemade Cloth Face Coverings
CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
The cloth face coverings are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators. Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance.
